3. Los Angeles Rams

All of the reasons why the Rams gambled on Suh in the first place still make a lot of sense. They didn’t win the Super Bowl last season, but they are clearly one of the teams capable of winning it all in 2019. Playing Suh on the same defensive line with the likes of Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers still forms one of the most talented groups in the NFL.

Of course, Suh’s fit in McVay’s defense last season wasn’t perfect. He showed flashes of the dominant play he’s capable of, but overall his contributions were pretty average. It’s very possible the Rams might choose to move on from the Suh experiment next year.

Of course, doing so might send the wrong signal to their locker room. If anything, the Rams need to be doing everything they can to load up for another Super Bowl run. Letting a big talent like Suh walk out the door might send the wrong message to a team desperate to atone for their poor showing against the Patriots.

In the end, expect the Rams interest to come down to what sort of price Suh demands. If he’s willing to take another short-term deal then it’s very possible he will stay in the City of Angels. If he wants a long-term deal, he should go ahead and pack his bags.
