2. Defensive end

The Titans have a promising, young crop of linebackers to work with in Jayon Brown, Harold Landry and Rashaan Evans. Brown, a fifth-round pick in 2017, had six sacks in 2018, which was the second most on the team. Landry, a 2018 second-round pick, was tied with Wesley Woodyard for the third-most sacks on the team with 4.5.

Evans, the team’s first-round pick in 2018, struggled in his rookie year, but he still showed flashes of potential.

Those sack numbers will probably increase as they become more seasoned. Although, bolstering the defensive line with a pass-rushing defensive end will also help them progress and round out the team’s defense.

The draft has two game-wrecking, high-potential defensive end prospects. Nick Bosa out of Ohio State is arguably the best overall player in the draft. Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson is the other prospect, and he is projected to be a top-10 pick. Therefore, the team will have to do their due diligence on middle, late-round prospects.

Regardless, the Titans are better off drafting to fill another positional demand such as defensive tackle with their first-round pick. Therefore, management has to decide if they are willing to get into a bidding war for one of the free agents like Demarcus Lawrence, Trey Flowers or Ziggy Ansah.

Surely, adding one of those pass rushers would be magnificent, but the price will undoubtedly be high. Two players that the team could sign for less, and who could fit the 3-4, are Henry Anderson or Muhammad Wilkerson.
