DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks February 21
We are back to another balanced one round week for our DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments this week. We have a lot of high prices on this slate, but there is some decent value to put a couple of them in your lineups. Which ones should we aim for?

There aren’t as many injuries after the break, but Vassilis Spanoulis, Nikola Radicevic, Luke Nelson, Anzejs Pasecniks, Luke Fischer, Tornike Shengelia, Arturas Gudaitis, and Al Oliver (rest) are all still out. That does open up some value today.
Keep an eye on the injuries to Adrien Moerman, Nemanja Nedovic, and Kaleb Tarczewski are all questionable. Keep an eye on those reports leading into Thursday’s action.
The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:
Well, Mike James is on this slate, so we already have our must-play. James put up 36 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Tel Aviv this year. James’s streak of five straight 40+ DraftKings point games was snapped by Darussafaka last week. For that reason, I can understand a fade here, especially with his price nearly one third of our budget.
When our next best option is Nando de Colo for $3,000 less against the worst defensive team in the league, a fade becomes even more plausible. De Colo put up 41 DraftKings points in just 27 minutes in the first meeting against Gran Canaria. With this game in Moscow, we could see an even bigger game from Nando.
Vasilije Micic is once again a nice option that is kind of between the upper and middle tiers. Micic put up 33.75 DraftKings points on Olympiacos the first time around. Don’t be put off by his poor outing against Gran Canaria. It was a blowout in which Micic played just 21 minutes. Micic had put the bad outing against Athens behind him before being pulled.
I’m not a big fan of most of the middle tier on Thursday, but Cory Higgins could be in for more run if CSKA blows out Gran Canaria. Higgins had one of his best games of the season against Gran Canaria the first time around. The fact that Daniel Hackett has been stealing time is concerning though.
I don’t really like the matchup for Olympciacos, but with Spanoulis out, it does open some value potential in that backcourt. Nigel Williams-Goss should have more of an expanded role, but his price is pretty high based on a what if. I’m more likely to chase after Janis Strelnieks. Briante Weber is also a good option if he is available to make his debut this week. Keep an eye on that.
For you value shoppers, it doesn’t get any better than Clevin Hannah. Hannah put up 27 DraftKings points last round against Efes. This round Albert Oliver wont play, so Hannah should have an even more expanded role.
If one value play isn’t enough, there are still some decent options down here. If Shane Larkin starts again, he is way too cheap. Larkin put up 33.25 DraftKings points in just 22 minutes against Gran Canaria last round. If he doesn’t start though, I’m not sure I would take the risk. Larkin has been pedestrian at best off the bench. In that case Curtis Jerrells or Dogus Balbay are the only other cheapies behind Hannah that I would consider.
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
The big question at forward is the status of Adrien Moerman. Moerman hurt his wrist in Sunday’s Turkish League game, but still finished. However, his wrist was apparently in worse shape after the game. Even if Moerman is in action, I’m not sure I want to pay that much for a guy with a balky wrist. Especially when there is a guy like Johannes Voigtmann who hasn’t been under 25 DraftKings points since Christmas.

Will Clyburn had a nice game against Gran Canaria in the first meeting as well, but the way things have been going, I’m not sure how much exposure I actually want to this game. Gran Canaria hasn’t been competitive at all lately, and teams have been resting their normal starters more than usual. This is a great matchup, so it’s hard to ignore. But I would consider that CSKA starters will be at about 60-75% of their normal production due to reduced minutes.
Nikola Milutinov went for 30.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Efes. Milutinov has had a couple of big games, and that was one of them. I don’t really see it as a fluke though. MIlutinov is usually in the 20’s. He has 30 point upside with a solid floor. That could leave him as the best option at forward today.
Johnny O’Bryant and Tarik Black are both playing very well right now for Tel Aviv. Milan isn’t that strong up front, so I would be in favor of a stack here. If only using one, O’Bryant is a lot more consistent than Black.
The next tier is full of Barcelona and Baskonia players, which means I don’t really like the matchup. There are better ways to go about this. Georgios Printezis was excellent in the first meeting with Efes. It was also his best game of the year, so the chances of a repeat 31.75 DraftKings point performance seem low.
I would still consider Shavon Shields against Barcelona here, but with Othello Hunter practically the same price, I’m not sure he’s worth the risk. Kevin Seraphin has a bad matchup too, but he has played well lately.
Nikita Kurbanov is less of a value play at $7,000, but he is still putting up solid lines for Moscow. He could be in line for a little more playing time against Gran Canaria as well. The same is true for Kyle Hines. I don’t like the matchup for Jeff Brooks, but he has put up consistent numbers most of the year, including in the first meeting with Tel Aviv. You can do worse in this price range.
Tibor Pleiss continues to be one of the cheapest sources of double digits out there. There isn’t much for upside, but he provides good value. Alen Omic put up his best game of the year against Tel Aviv in the first meeting and has 38.75 DraftKings points in the past two rounds. It may be time to take notice again.
