The greatest rivalry in college basketball adds another chapter as the Duke Blue Devils host the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday night.
College basketball fans have had to wait a little bit longer than usual, but it has finally arrived. On Wednesday night, the North Carolina Tar Heels take the trip along Tobacco Road to Cameron Indoor Stadium for a date with the Duke Blue Devils, giving us another installment in the sport’s biggest rivalry. And this one should be a doozie.
Duke enters this game as the top-ranked team in the country, and for good reason. Zion Williamson has looked unstoppable since Day 1 and his freshmen cohorts of RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish and Tre Jones have been anything but slouches. Moreover, they occupy the top spot in the ACC coming into this matchup, something UNC would like to put in question.
As for this North Carolina team, they have certainly been up and down. When they’re on, though, they can hang with any team in the country. With a strong mix of veterans like Cam Johnson and Luke Maye along with freshmen breakout star point guard Coby White and super-reserve Nassir Little, this team is loaded with talent as well.
