Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Thursday February 21st! Tonight we have a huge 11 game slate  to delve into. Nikita Kucherov is a great play, as always, so you won’t find him in my break down further down. Now, let’s get going into this slate and break it down for you!

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

Washington @ Toronto

Carolina @ Florida

Ottawa @ New Jersey

Minnesota @ NY Rangers

San Jose @ Pittsburgh

7:30PM:

Philadelphia @ Montreal

Buffalo @ Tampa Bay

8PM:

Lose Angeles @ Nashville

8:30PM:

St. Louis @ Dallas

9PM:

NY Islanders @ Edmonton

10PM:

Arizona @ Vancouver

NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight we have 2 top goalies, that are also the top priced goalies. Both Pekka Rinne ($8,400) and Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,300). Rinne had lost 3 of previous 4 starts prior to his current 2 game win streak.

In his last 2 games Rinne is 2-0 stopping 70 of 74 shots and averaging 8 DKFP, and he also has a win over the Kings this season. Vasilevskiy is riding a personal 5 game win streak during which he has only allowed 8 goals with 2 shutouts during his streak.

Jordan Binnington ($7,900) is riding his own win streak as well, coming in a winner of 9 straight games.

Binnington has been a pleasant surprise for a team that was left for dead earlier this season, but ever since he has taken over St. Louis has climbed right into the middle of the play off race. Binnington also has a win over the Stars this season earning 6.2 DKFP in the process.

Lastly, Robin Lehner ($7,800) is a great choice as well on the road in Edmonton.

NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Alex Ovechkin ($7,600) – Ovie has points in 7 of the Caps last 8 games totaling 4 goals and 7 assists and has 36 SOG in those 8 games. In 3 games against the Leafs, Ovechkin has a goal and 2 assists and an average of 5.3 DKFP per game.

Aleksander Barkov ($7,000) – In the Panthers last 2 games Barkov has 4 goals and 3 assists as well as averaging 13 DKFP per game. At home this season Barkov has 40 points, 17 goals and 23 assists, as opposed to 20 points on the road. Barkov along with Jonathan Huberdeau and Frank Vatrano make up one of the top line stack tonight

Elias Pettersson ($6,700) – The NHL’s probable Calder trophy winner has 3 goals and 7 assists during Vancouver’s last 10 games and has a home matchup with Arizona tonight who has allowed 7 goals in their last 2 games after shutting out Toronto on Saturday.

Mid Tier:

Ryan O’Reilly ($6,400) – O’Reilly has 3 goals and 5 assists in his last 6 games. St. Louis is on an 11 game winning streak and it is hard to fade this team right now as they have been great to DFS players of late (only Chicago has been better really) and stacking St Louis’ top line is where I will get my Blues players from tonight.

Tomas Tatar ($5,400) – Tatar has been playing much better than even he probably expected this season with 19 goals and 25 assists in 59 games. Over the Habs last 5 games Tatar has 3 goals and 2 assists and is now playing on the second line for the Canadiens with Max Domi and Andrew Shaw

Kasperi Kapanen ($4,700) – Kapanen comes in with 3 goals and 3 assists in the Leafs last 5 and has a goal and an assists in 2 games against the Capitals earlier this season. Toronto is a good stacking option, as you’ll see later, but if you are looking to get exposure and pay down the Leafs 2nd PP unit is a good way to do so.

Value Tier:

Ondrej Palat ($4,200) – There are a ton of options on the Lightning’s roster but some nights you just can’t get all the high price guys in, but you can get exposure to the top line with someone like Palat. In his last 5 games Palat has 6 assists and also has a goal and an assists in 2 games against the Sabres this season. Palat plays with Steven Stamkos and J.T. Miller

Oscar Lindblom ($4,000) Lindblom comes into tonight on a short 3 game point streak with 3 goals and an assist and is averaging just over 6 DKFP per game. Montreal just snapped a 4 game losing streak on Tuesday night and has allowed 18 goals in those 5 games. It looks good for Philly to net a few goals, even in a loss.

Jesper Bratt ($3,900) – Bratt is playing some of his best hockey right now with 2 goals and 4 assists in his last 4 games. After spending some time on the Devils second line but is back on the top line now with Nico Hischier and Marcus Johanssonas well as playing on the top PP unit now and is seeing 18-19 minutes per game which is around 4 minutes more than his season average.

Bratt will probably see his minutes drop when Taylor Hall comes back, but while he is out you need to ride Bratt.

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Pay Up Dman:

John Carlson ($6,100) – Carlson is one of the top defensemen in the league but he just wasn’t playing up to his lofty price tag until recently. In his last 3 games Carlson has a goal and 4 assists. I like Carlson in a stack with the Capitals top PP unit tonight, especially Ovechkin as I mentioned earlier.

More from FanSided

Other options: Erik Karlsson ($6,400), Ryan Ellis ($5,000)

Pay Down Dman:

Tony DeAngelo ($3,700) – DeAngelo comes into tonight’s home game with Minnesota riding a 4 game assist streak with 5 assists during his streak.

Even though he plays 3rd pair defense, DeAngelo also plays on the Rangers 2nd PP unit and is average 18+ minutes per game.

Other options: Travis Sanheim ($4,300), Ben Lovejoy ($3,100)
