Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Friday February 22nd! Tonight it’s another small slate with 5 games on the schedule. We get the new favorite NHL DFS team, the Blackhawks, on this slate as well another high scoring, Calgary. This is a tough slate, in my opinion, with a lot of teams in flux (Ottawa, Columbus, and Minnesota).

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

7PM:

Columbus @ Ottawa

7:30PM:

Colorado @ Chicago

Minnesota @ Detroit

9PM:

Anaheim @ Calgary

10PM:

Winnipeg @ Vegas

NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight’s top goalie, and the overall highest priced goalie, is Mike Smith ($8,400). Smith hasn’t been having a great year, but has won 3 straight starts and hasn’t lost in regulation since February 7th. During his 3 game win streak Smith has allowed only 8 goals and has an average of 5.5 DKFP per game. I don’t think I will start David Rittich if he ends up getting the start, I will probably switch to my next choice…

…My next choice being Sergei Bobrovsky ($8,000) on the road in Ottawa, who are on the second night of a back to back, and who are currently sitting players they want to trade for fear of them getting injured. This looks to be a situation that could lead to a big game for Bobrovsky

Lastly, I will give a GPP option. Alex Stalock ($7,400) is my GPP choice with Minnesota playing on the second night of a back to back and Devan Dubnyk playing last night.

NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Patrick Kane ($8,300) – You don’t need me to tell you Patrick Kane is a must play, but I can understand not playing him at this price. His scoring streak will end at some point, probably, but on a slate this small with an abundance of low price options, I think you can play Kane and still build a good balanced lineup.

Dylan Larkin ($7,300) – In the Red Wings last game against Minnesota Larkin had 3 helpers along with 4 shots on goal to give him 8 DKFP. Larkin also has 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 games as well. I like the idea of pairing Larkin with Anthony Mantha ($5,300), both guys have been playing well of late. Mantha had a 4 assists game on Wednesday and has 2 goals and 6 assists in his last 5

Zach Parise ($6,500) – Zach Parise loves playing the Red Wings, and that might be an understatement. In his last 9 games against Detroit, Parise has 8 goals and 6 assists as well as 32 shots on goal. Parise with Mikael Granlund and Pontus Aberg are an under the radar stack tonight, but if Parise has the kind of game he is used to against Detroit, Granlund and Aberg could have great games.

Matthew Brady Tkachuk ($5,400 each) – Here is a special narrative play for Brian tonight, even though he is back with his basketball now. The Tkachuk brothers have been playing well and I could easily see me playing both them in my lineups. If I was to pick one, I would go with younger brother Brady. In his last 4 games Brady has 1 goal and 4 assists.

Colin White ($4,700) – White, as well as Brady Tkachuk, are getting more ice time with the Senators sitting their “trade bait” players (Duchene, Dzingel, and Stone). In his last 4 games White has 2 goals and 2 assists. White centers the Senators top line now with Tkachuk and Bobby Ryan

Adam Henrique ($4,300) – In the Ducks last 2 games Henrique has 2 goals and 2 assists while averaging 6.25 DKFP. I won’t have any Ducks in my lineup if I do go with Smith in net, but if Rittich starts I will definitely consider them as an option, starting with Henrique.

Matt Calvert ($3,300) – Calvert has scored goals in back to back games for the Av’s while playing on the teams 3rd line. It looks like he will be playing Gabriel Landeskog and Tyson Jost

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – FEBRUARY 18: Erik Gustafsson #56 of the Chicago Blackhawks passes against the Ottawa Senators at the United Center on February 18, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. The Blackhawks defeated the Senators 8-7. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Pay Up DMan:

Erik Gustafsson ($5,800) – Gustafsson has become the Blackhawks top dman as Seabrook and Keith hit the back-end of their careers. In his last 5 games Gustaffson has 1 goal and 5 assists.

More from FanSided

Other options : Mark Giordano ($6,600), Tyson Barrie ($5,400)

Pay Down DMan:

Hampus Lindholm ($4,200) – Lindholm comes in with points in back to back games and an average of 5.75 DKFP. While Lindholm is probably the Ducks best DMan and plays on top pair, he doesn’t play the power play at all, which makes him a little less valuable.

Other options: Ryan Graves ($3,300), Michael Del Zotto ($2,800)
