West Ham face Fulham at London Stadium on Friday, Feb. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Following midweek European fixtures, the Premier League season resumes on Friday with West Ham hosting Fulham at London Stadium. West Ham are in the middle of the table with 33 points in their first 26 games. Fulham are going to need an incredible final third of the season to avoid relegation. The Cottagers are 19th in the table with 17 points, eight points behind Cardiff for the final safety zone.
West Ham drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace last weekend, their second straight draw by that scoreline. The Hammers are winless in their last four games but have managed to stay in the top half of the table. Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic will be the focus of West Ham’s attack against Fulham. Anderson and Arnautovic have combined for 15 goals this season. Declan Rice has emerged as one of the better young players in the Premier League. The 20-year-old Rice has played as a defensive midfielder above the center-backs and helped improved West Ham’s defense this season.
The hiring of Claudio Ranieri in November has proven to be a short-term fix, rather than a long-term solution. Ranieri initially provided a surge for Fulham but the club has now lost five of their last six games after losing 3-0 against Manchester United last weekend. Over their last six games, the Cottagers have conceded 15 goals. Raneri’s inability to help solve the club’s defensive woes will likely lead to Fulham’s relegation at the end of the season. The Cottagers have allowed 58 goals this season, 10 more than the second-worst team.
