The LSU Tigers remain undefeated and keep hold of their No. 1 spot in the FanSided College Baseball rankings with Vanderbilt and UCLA close behind.

After the LSU Tigers cruised through yet another weekend, this time by sweeping the Bryant Bulldogs, it shouldn’t’ be a surprise at all that they’d remain as the top team in the FanSided College Baseball Top 25 Rankings.

But while LSU and Vanderbilt remain at the top of the FanSided College Baseball Top 25, there was some movement below the Tigers and Commodores this week.

Florida fell down a few spots, dropping from No. 3 all the way down to No. 12 after losing games to South Florida, North Florida, and then Miami. The Gators were able to take the series against the Hurricanes and get somewhat back on track.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs, on the other hand, got a great opportunity to jump up a couple of spots. The Bulldogs, now No. 8, took down then No. 17 Southern Miss on Saturday and Sunday to take the series from the Golden Eagles.

Outside of the Southeastern Conference, UCLA snuck right up into the No. 3 ranking and Oregon State currently sits right behind the Bruins at No. 4. The North Carolina Tar Heels, after sweeping the South Florida Bulls, have moved their way into the top 5.

What team is in danger of falling out of the rankings?

Florida didn’t look all that great over the past week. The Gators are a better team than what they showed themselves to be, but losing to South Florida 6-1, North Florida 9-1, and then Miami 5-2 isn’t exactly a great resume builder. If Florida continues to play like that throughout this season, the Gators will continue to drop in rankings and will hurt their hosting chances later on this year.

Which team is close to climbing into the rankings?

Duke. The Blue Devils are right on the edge there with Cal State Fullerton and could easily hop right back up to No. 25 depending on what happens with the teams in the 17-25 ranking range. Duke being dropped out of the top 25 has more to do with how Cal State Fullerton has wins over TCU and Oklahoma already this season than with anything on Duke’s resume.
