Roman Reigns returned to his yard on Monday Night Raw for the first time in four months, but what did he have to say?

Late last week, Vince McMahon went on Twitter and let the WWE Universe know that Roman Reigns would be appearing on Monday Night Raw in Atlanta to give us an update on his health. Reigns had announced in October that his leukemia had returned, requiring him to give up the WWE Universal Championship and take time away from the ring to receive treatment.

WWE wasted no time either, as Reigns opened up the show and was greeted with all of the love and cheers that the crowd could possibly provide.

It was clearly a very emotional moment for Reigns as he greeted almost every fan around the ringside area including former WCW Champion David Arquette, his mom and Ata Johnson, the mother of The Rock.

Roman entered the ring and had a heart-to-heart with the audience, making for one of the most emotional moments in the history of Raw. They really let this moment and segment breathe, which made it feel all the more important and special.

Reigns then gave us all the news we were hoping to hear: He is in remission

As Reigns left the ringside area he was greeted by one of his best friends, Seth Rollins. The two hugged at the top of the ramp, a beautiful way to end the segment. The crowd could not have been happier.

But the question remains: Now that the Big Dog has returned to his yard, what’s next? While some people in the crowd chanted “WrestleMania” at him, he was quick to point out that he would prefer to crawl before he could walk, and walk before he could run. So, for now, the talk of him wrestling at the grandest stage of them all might be a bit premature.

That doesn’t mean he couldn’t be in Rollins’ corner at Met Life Stadium when he faces Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. One thing is for sure, the WWE Universe is eager to learn more about Reigns’ health and his eventual return to the ring.

Luckily for all of us, we might not have to wait too long as Roman will be a guest on Tuesday on Good Morning America with a special announcement. It’s hard to believe we could get a more special moment tomorrow than we got on Monday night, but we will find out on Tuesday.
