Newcastle vs. Burnley live stream: Watch Premier League online
By Harvey Cruz
Newcastle host Burnley at St James’ Park on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
With a little under three months left in the season, the relegation race will begin to intensify. Newcastle and Burnley are 15th and 14th respectively, two point separating them in the table. There is very little margin for error, making this clash all the more important.
The hosts are winners of three of their last five league games. Their last, a 2-0 win over 10-man Huddersfield Town has given them much-needed breathing room between them and the clubs below. Manager Rafael Benitez will be desperate to keep their decent form going with more crucial games ahead. Newcastle won the last meeting, 2-1 at Turf Moor.
New signing Miguel Almiron has given the team a big spark in attack, and was unlucky not to open his account on his home debut. Scoring has been a problem all season for Benitez’s men, only netting 24, second-fewest in the league. Currently on a three-game home winning streak, they’ll be confident they can grab a result which will see them rise up as high as 13th in the table.
Burnley are on great form, unbeaten in their last eight league games. Sean Dyche’s squad are purring at the right time, and are on a high after beating Spurs 2-1 at home. Ashley Barnes is hot, scoring in his last four games. However, Burnley haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last five games in all competitions, a warning sign that Newcastle could take advantage of.
This game has an old-school feel to it. Two teams who’ll be physical, expect lots of crunching tackles and cards out. It’s got “six-pointer’ written all over it, between two teams with a lot to play for.
