Everything you need to know to prepare for you the upcoming edition of WWE NXT for February 27th on the WWE Network.

DISCLAIMER: WWE NXT is a pre-taped wrestling program, and results of the show have already hit the internet ahead of time. We will not be spoiling those results here at FanSided; thanks for reading.

Last week NXT promised a big announcement on their show, and they delivered one in the return of the Dusty Classic. This is an honored tradition for the black and yellow brand in which several tag teams come together in a tournament-style bracket in honor of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.

Previous winners include Finn Balor and Samoa Joe, The Authors of Pain, and the Undisputed Era (Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly). Which team will add their names to the history books this year on the road to NXT Takeover: New York? Only time will tell, but so far these are the first four announced teams…

We will find out the remaining four teams to join the tournament this Wednesday night on the WWE Network. After their impressive wins on both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live last week against the Revival and The Bar respectively, one would assume that the team formally known as DIY (Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) will be included in Dusty Classic this year. It will be very interesting to see who will fill out these brackets this week.

Date: Wednesday, February 27th, 2019
Time: 8:00 pm EST
Location: Orlando, Florida
Venue: Full Sail University
Live Stream: WWE Network

Speaking of Gargano, the now former NXT North American Champion came up short last week on NXT, losing his championship to the Velveteen Dream. Will we hear from the newly crowned champion on Wednesday night? Tune in to find out!

Matches scheduled to take place this Wednesday night include:

– Vanessa Borne and Aliyah against Xia Li and Taynara Conti in tag team action
– Dominik Dijakovic goes one on one with Keith Lee
– NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler continues her current feud against Mia Yim in the main event

Regardless of the recent call-ups and how long they will or will not spend with the brand, it’s clear that NXT is firing on all cylinders on the road to NXT Takeover: New York at the Barclays Center on WrestleMania weekend.
