High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Thaddeus Young (vs MIN – $5,900): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.75 fantasy points. Much like everyone on the Pacers, you typically know what you’re getting from Young. He’s played a reliable game all season and with Sabonis out, he has to do more at the position. The matchup is good because the Timberwolves are a good team, but not great and not good on the road. And the Pacers are the new Spurs. Yeah, I said it. Young will continue to chug along. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Kevin Knox (vs CLE – $5,200): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.25 fantasy points against Orlando. There is a reason there is a distinct lack of Knicks mentioned today despite it being a slow night and the Knicks facing the Cavaliers. Because I truly don’t know what you’re getting with the Knicks. Knox plays minutes on most nights and it’s the Cavaliers so maybe he can make something happen? Trusting the Knicks is playing with fire. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.

JJ Redick (at OKC – $5,000): Needs 23 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.75 fantasy points against New Orleans. Redick’s game isn’t quite as good without Embiid running DHO’s with him but he still never lacks for minutes or shots. And the Thunder defense has fallen off to where they will probably give up enough 3-point attempts to Redick to make him worth your while. He always seems to play well against them. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
