Lines are very important and are key to creating value. On average, 1 out of every 14 games moving at least 1 1/2 points from the opening number will land (the final score will be within the line move) so we want to make sure to get the proper number.

Dayton -8 versus Rhode Island, 7 pm
For many years RI has been great to the number – they have been one of my favorite teams against the spread. However this season has seen a 180 degrees shift and its been a doozy especially on the road.
RI, in their last 2 away games, has lost by a combined 38 points to the spread. Dayton has been average ATS at home but should win by double digits tonight. They won 77-48 at RI earlier this month as a 2 point dog, and I don’t see enough (or any) evidence to think RI can right the ship in this spot.
In some early games, including Brown, Yale, and Harvard, a case can be made to lay the favorites. I am going to play a 3 team parlay on these teams but the only one on the record tonight is Dayton.
