Welcome to NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity series race in Las Vegas! This race will be run at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 1.5 mile speedway which is the home track of Kyle and Kurt Busch.

Looking back at last weeks race which was won by the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing car of Christopher Bell. Bell dominated this en route to his first victory of the 2019 season and his ninth victory of his Xfinity Series career. Cole Custer, who started on the pole would finish second in his #00 Ford by just .191 seconds. This second race of the season featured 11 lead changes among 5 different drivers. Bell would lead the most laps with 142,  four other drivers led at least one lap (Custer, Brandon Jones, Tyler Reddick and Noah Gragson). Bell won both stages one and two. This was a very cleanly run race with only one incident-related caution flag, which came with just seven laps remaining when John Hunter Nemechek spun in turn two.

NASCAR DFS: Leaders of the Pack

Kyle Busch ($14,700)

2018 Finish: 14th

Las Vegas is Kyle’s home track and he is running all three races in Vegas this weekend and depending on where he qualifies he could dominate this race. Busch ran the 3rd best in practice on Friday.

Christopher Bell ($12,000)

2018 Finish: 2nd

Bell completely dominated last week in Atlanta as I mentioned in the open and looks to have the car to do it again even with Busch in the race. In practice on Friday Bell ran the 4th fastest time, just behind Busch by .008 seconds. If I decided to fade Busch, than Bell will most likely be my high-priced pivot

Tyler Reddick ($10,400)

2018 Finish: 8th

Reddick, like Busch and Bell before him, ran a top 5 lap in practice coming in just .026 behind Bell for 4th place. Reddick has finished top 10 in both races this season and led 39 laps total.

Also in consideration :  Justin Allgaier ($10,800) Austin Dillon ($9,900)

NASCAR DFS: Middle of the Pack:

Noah Gragson ($8,600)

2018 Finish:  N/A

Well, as promised here is my mandatory weekly Noah Gragson section. All kidding aside Gragson had a fast car last week and ran up front for the majority of the race finishing 9th after starting 11th and picking up 43 DKFP. Gragson ran 11th in Friday’s final practice, and once again, depending on where he ends up qualifying will determine if I use him (but I am pretty confident I will be rolling him out)

Justin Haley ($8,400)

2018 Finish:  N/A

Nobody was faster in practice on Friday than Haley was, running the fastest lap in just under 30 seconds (29.949) and was the only driver to do so. Haley will probably qualify towards the top, but if he falters in qualifying and ends up outside the top Haley could become a great play.

Zane Smith ($8,200)

2018 Finish: N/A

The 19-year-old rookie will be running his first race of this season in the JR Motorsports #8 Chevy on Saturday. Smith had a top ten fastest lap in practice on Friday, finishing the session with 8th fastest lap and 7th best 10 lap average.

Ross Chastain ($7,800)

2018 Finish: 18th

Chastain finished just inside the 20 in final practice on Friday, running a fast lap of 31.193. In both races this season Chastain has finished just outside the top 10 in his Premium Motorsports #4 Chevy finishing with 31 DKFP in both races

NASCAR DFS: Back of the Pack:

Garrett Smithley ($7,200)

2018 Finish: 23rd

Smithley sees a $1,000 salary decrease which is why he is on this list today. At this price he is playable, but at $8,200 I had no interest. After final practice on Friday Smithley ran 21st. Smithley has started in the 20’s in both races this season and has finished in positive place differential in both races finishing with 23 and 32 DKFP respectively.

More from FanSided

Ray Black Jr. ($6,900)

2018 Finish: N/A

Black Jr. has not had a great start to this season but his #7 Chevy seemed to be pretty fast in final practice finishing 12th. In both races Black only amassed 18 DKFP, but that did result in a $500 decrease in his price and his qualifying position will determine if I have an exposure to him

BJ McLeod ($6,000)

2018 Finish:  26th

McLeod is another driver who saw a decrease in price from last week, down from $6,700 last week. McLeod didn’t come out for final practice on Friday, but earlier in the day at the second practice he did run inside the top 20, finishing 19th. McLeod earned 26 points at Daytona, and then 25 last week, if we can get that kind of point total again today it will be a great day for McLeod fantasy wise at this price.

Timmy Hill ($5,300) is also someone to consider for today at a price lower than McLeod and averaging a similar point total per race (24.8)
