NHL DFS Man Advantage Saturday March 2nd
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Saturday night March 2nd! Tonight we have another 8 game slate to play and it looks like it could be a fun one. First thing I am sure you will all notice is the jacked up prices of Tampa Bay because of their home matchup with Ottawa. We also have Boston and Toronto in games that could be pretty one-sided when Boston host New Jersey and Toronto has Buffalo in town.
You will notice a slight change to the format of my NHL DFS article as I am trying to streamline it, and make it easier for you to read by separating goalies, forwards, and defense men onto their own pages, and then my last page will be line stacks and a sample of my core for tonight’s games ( I cannot give sample lineups per DraftKings policies)

NHL DFS Goalies:
Tonight’s goalie plays are much better than last horrible slate of goaltenders. My top pick in net tonight is going to be extremely chalky, but with good reason. Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,400)has a home matchup with the Ottawa Senators. Vasilevskiy is 8-0-2 in his last 10 starts with a 1.74 GAA to go with a .944 SV% and a 7.1 DKFP per game average.
Next up for me is Tuukka Rask ($8,300) taking on New Jersey at home tonight. Rask has a similar stat line to Vasilevskiy with a 7-0-2 record in his last 10 with a 2.20 GAA and a .922 SV% while averaging 5.4 DKFP per game.
My last option tonight is going to be Darcy Kuemper ($8,000) at home against Detroit. Kuemper is 8-2 in his last 10 starts and has won 6 straight starts while only allowing only 10 goals over is 6 game win streak.
Other goalies to consider: Petr Mrazek ($7,800) @ Fla, Jordan Binnington ($7,600) vs Dal
NHL DFS Top Forwards:
Top Tier:
Auston Matthews ($7,500) – Matthews has enjoyed playing against the Sabres this season to the tune of 3 goals and an assist in 2 games this season and has an 8.8 DKFP per game. During his last 10 games Matthews has 6 goals and 6 assists as well as 5.6 DKFP per game.
Sebastian Aho ($7,000) – Aho comes in with points in 7 of his last 8 games with 1 goal and 7 assists. In 2 games against Florida this season Aho has 2 assists and an average of 2.8 DKFP per game.
Jonathan Huberdeau ($6,700) – In 2 games against the Canes this season, Huberdeau has 1 goal and 1 assists leading to a 3.3 DKFP per game average. Over the Panthers last 7 games Huberdeau has 5 goals and 8 assists while playing on one of the top PP units in the league alongside players like Mike Hoffman, Aleksander Barkov, and Keith Yandle.
Mid Tier:
Max Domi ($6,100) – Domi comes in with 5 goals and 5 assists over his last 6 games for the Habs as well as 20 shots on goal during that stretch. Domi centers the Canadiens second line with Jonathan Drouin and Andrew Shaw, which is one of my top stacking options tonight.
Jake DeBrusk ($5,300) – DeBrusk had an assists and 3.5 DKFP in his one game against New Jersey this seaoson. Over his last 10 games DeBrusk has 7 goals and 5 assists. DeBrusk plays with David Krejci and former Devil Marcus Johansson
Value Tier:
Clayton Keller ($4,400) – Keller was in a rut for a while but over his last 3 games he has a goal and 2 assists to go along with 7 shots on goal and an average of just under 4 DK
Simon may be on the Penguins 3rd line with Nick Bjustad and Jared McCann but he is getting plenty of time because he also sees time on the Pens 2nd PP unit. Simon does have a goal against the Canadiens this season as well as 2 assists in his last 3 games.
NHL DFS Top Defensemen:
Torey Krug ($5,600) – Krug as 1 goal and 4 assists in his last 5 games with an average of 3.7 DKFP per game. Krug along with the aforementioned DeBrusk and Krejci make for a nice PP 1 stack from the Bruins.
John Klingberg ($5,200) – Klingberg has some great numbers against the Blues this season with 1 goal and 3 assists and in his last 10 games Klingberg has 5 assist. Aside from play on the Stars top D pair with Esa Lindell ($4,400) who is also a great play today.
Aaron Ekblad ($3,900) – Ekblad plays on the second D pair for the Panthers as well as the second PP unit. I prefer to use the Panthers first PP unit if I am to play them, but Ekblad with one of the forwards from the second PP unit would be a decent play. Ekblad has 2 goals and an assist in his last 3 games.
Other options on defense: Jake Muzzin ($4,700), T.J. Brodie ($3,400)
NHL DFS Top Line Stacks:
Since I gave you most of the top lines I really like tonight in the previous sections, I will just focus on Tampa for tonight. Tampa Bay gets a matchup we will be hoping to exploit tonight with Ottawa. I think the best way to play the Lightning is to use their top PP unit because you can get access to their top two lines this way.

Arizona 1 and 3 (value!!!)
Toronto 1
Dallas 1
St Louis PP 1
NHL DFS Core Plays:
As I mentioned above Tampa is going to be the top plays of the night and extremely chalky. I like using Stamkos and Brayden Point, plus JT Miller from Tampa. I like using Darcy Kuemper in net and then last adding Torey Krug and Jake DeBrusk. This won’t leave you much cash, but with Arizona being affordable you should be able to fit a couple of players from there to fit into your remaining $3,800 per play budget for one winger, a utility spot, and your last defensemen.
