The Oakland Raiders currently hold the No. 24 overall pick in the first round, a pick they got due to the fact they traded away Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears prior to the 2018 season. During his time in the Silver and Black, Mack proved himself to be a generational talent, and it is going to take a while for Raider Nation to get over the fact he is gone.

Without Mack, Oakland was historically bad at getting after the quarterback, racking up only 13 sacks as a team in 2018. In fact, they were led in that department by a rookie defensive tackle, as Maurice Hurst led the way with only four. Pretty sad if you ask me.

While the Raiders should handle that issue with the No. 4 overall picking, bringing in an elite talent like Josh Allen from Kentucky, they could look to get better in the secondary at No. 24. With this pick, Deandre Baker from Georgia could be available, and he would be a perfect fit in a very young, and very talent defensive backfield.

Baker is one of the better overall cornerbacks in this draft class, and would team well with the likes of Gareon Conley and Daryl Worley next season in Oakland. Worley will have to be re-signed, as he is a free agent, but Conley proved himself to be elite in 2018, and the Raiders seem to have a defensive backfield that is finally trending in the right direction.
