Ole Miss. D.K. Metcalf. 5. player. 48. . Wide Receiver

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a good place in terms of draft position heading into April, as they hold a top-5 pick, and apparently are not looking for a quarterback. The organization appears steadfast in their backing of former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston, which means the team could go a number of different ways with this pick.

Heading into the draft, there was a lot of talk about DeSean Jackson, and how he does not get along with both Winston, and head coach Bruce Arians. If that is the case, and the team gets rid of him, they will need to add another wide receiver to the position group, and D.K. Metcalf just owned the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.

Sure, Tampa Bay does already have Mike Evans, but could you imagine teaming him with Metcalf next season in Tampa Bay. With those kinds of weapons at wide receiver, it would certainly be a make-or-break scenario for Winston, who will be on a short watch with Arians in charge, as he is a no-nonsense kind of head coach.

Winston has shown at times that he can be a playoff-caliber quarterback, but he has been way too inconsistent on and off the field. Metcalf showed a special kind of athleticism at the combine, and if his measurables equate to the kind of player he could be at the NFL level, the Buccaneers could have the No. 1 wideout duo in the NFC South as soon as next season.
