Ole Miss receiver D.K. Metcalf was the talk of the NFL Combine because of his absurd performance and body fat percentage. The latter is either nonsense or unhealthy.

Conventional belief is that men need a body fat percentage between two and five to live a healthy life. D.K. Metcalf is reportedly falling below that threshold.

It was widely speculated in the media that the Ole Miss star checked in at 1.6 body fat percentage, which according to a trainer who spoke to FanSided, means Metcalf’s body is actually eating itself alive.

Metcalf’s measurables and workout in Indianapolis has the NFL world buzzing. He’s 6-foot-3 and 228 pounds running a 4.33 40-yard dash. After being looked upon as a borderline first-round pick, the Rebels star is now seen as a potential top-10 pick in many circles. In a year where the wide receivers are generally seen as a weak class, Metcalf has vaulted himself into the top status, with former teammate A.J. Brown and Arizona State’s N’Keal Harry following suit.

According to Livestrong, a male athlete tries to stay between six and 13 percent on the whole, while the average adult male checks in between 18 and 24 percent. We’ll see if Metcalf eventually falls into the former range.
