Chievo face AC Milan at Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium on Saturday, March 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Chievo and AC Milan are at opposite ends of the table ahead of their game on Saturday at Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium. Milan are third in the table and are looking to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2013-14. Chievo will need a miracle if they are going to avoid relegation. The Flying Donkeys are last in Serie A, with only 10 points this season.
Chievo started the season in a hole. The club was deducted three points before the season started for falsified accounting. The Flying Donkeys did not win a game until the 19th game of the season. Since the winter break ended, Chievo have two draws in their first seven games. Chievo have scored the fewest goals in Serie A and have allowed the most goals. That combination will send the Flying Donkeys to Serie B next season.
Milan defeated Sassuolo 1-0 last weekend. The win was Milan’s fourth straight, their longest winning streak this season. Milan are unbeaten over their last nine games, picking up 21 of 27 points. After considering firing manager Gennaro Gattuso earlier this season, Gattuso’s job is now safe. Milan will look to push their unbeaten run to 10 games. Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek has continued his incredible season since joining Milan from Genoa during the winter break. Piatek is second in Serie A with 18 goals this season and has scored five goals in his first seven Serie A games with Milan.

Milan are unbeaten in their last 24 games against Chievo, winning 21 times. The last time that Chievo beat Milan was over a decade ago, on Dec. 3, 2005. Chievo captain Sergio Pellissier scored in that game and still plays for the club. This season, Pellissier has scored four goals and will turn 40 years old in April.
