High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

John Collins (vs BKN – $7,900): Needs 34.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32 fantasy points against San Antonio. Collins has found some rhythm in the last week or so and it’s been a big help to his value. It’s also helped that his salary has lowered to a more reasonable level. The matchup is a good one as the Nets don’t have much going on in their frontcourt. Collins should get you value if nothing else in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Jayson Tatum (at LAL – $6,500): Needs 28.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.6 fantasy points against Sacramento. Tatum has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games and looks to be back in form. But we’ve seen this from him before and that he gives you nothing. The good news is that he’s playing the Lakers on Saturday. He had 44.5 fantasy points against them on Feb. 7. The Lakers seem like easy money nowadays. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Bobby Portis (at MIN – $6,300): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.3 fantasy points against Charlotte. If you read yesterday, you’ll know that Portis has been one of the most up-and-down players I’ve seen this season. He was up against the Hornets so if the trend holds, he’ll be down against the Timberwolves. It’s a good matchup but something weird is going on with this trend and I can’t shake getting over it. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
