NFL Free Agency opened on Mar. 11 with the beginning of the legal tampering period, and several big names moved, including one star wide receiver who went back to an old team via trade.

Though most of the big names in NFL Free Agency remain without a deal in place, the start of the legal tampering period provided fans with plenty of talking points. The Oakland Raiders, hungry to add star power in their second season under high-priced head coach Jon Gruden, splurged on standout left tackle Trent Brown just days after trading away star guard Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets.

Just as determined to add star power to its squad, the Jets signed another key player who will help sophomore signal-caller Sam Darnold in 2019, bringing in former Washington slot receiver Jamison Crowder, who made a name for himself as Kirk Cousins’s go-to guy.

Crowder wasn’t the only wide receiver to change outfits on Monday, though. Adam Humphries landed a big contract with the Tennessee Titans, while DeSean Jackson also departed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finding his way back on the former Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles via a trade.

But which teams won the first (unofficial) day of NFL Free Agency? And did any teams hurt themselves by handing out ill-advised contracts in a desperate attempt to fill a few holes on their roster?
