Longtime friends and former LSU teammates, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. have been reunited in Cleveland and it feels so good.

The Cleveland Browns shocked the NFL world before the start of the new year by acquiring the New York Giants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for a two draft picks and safety Jabrill Peppers. You can find all of FanSided’s reaction and takes here and here, and here, and here, and here.

More thrilling than the trade is the reuniting of former LSU Tigers and best buddies Jarvis Landry and Beckham. The two were recruited together in the class of 2011. That insane class from LSU also produced Dallas Cowboys’ right tackle La’el Collins, and Carolina Panthers guard Trae Turner. It was actually Landry that was the higher recruit out of high school over Beckham earning himself five stars.

Another interesting wrinkle is the fact that the two will be coached by their former college receivers coach. Former LSU Tigers receiver coach Adam Henry is in the same role with the Browns. That is a lot of familiar faces in the same place

Look at those two baby-faced ballers. It would have been hard to guess they’d be tearing up the NFL on the same team one day.

The LSU Tigers got creative in sharing some of their favorite moments from the two.

According to Ross Dellenger who previously covered LSU for The Advocate before moving to Sports Illustrated, the two have had a special bond for a long time. Back in 2014 Dellenger wrote a piece about the fateful meeting that took place the first time the pair met each other. They were ranked the first and second best receivers in Louisiana.

It was not until a camp in 2010 had they ever actually met. Dellenger’s piece highlighted the two star receivers before they were about to enter the NFL. Who would have guessed that only a few short years later they would be reunited?

Here’s a brief highlight of their career together at LSU.

That career for the Tigers saw both Landry and Beckham surpass 1000 yards in their junior year. At that time they were the most dominant receiving duo in college football. It’s not a crazy assumption to think it may be the best collegiate combination of receivers ever. Now we get to see them doing it again in Cleveland.
