5 NFL stars who could be traded next

Derek Carr
The Oakland Raiders are in a similar position as the Arizona Cardinals, save one big difference. The Raiders don’t have control of who falls to them in the NFL Draft. If the Raiders and Cardinals both want Kyler Murray, guess who is going to get him? The team with the first-overall pick.
Still, Jon Gruden clearly doesn’t think Derek Carr is his quarterback of the future, so don’t expect him to keep him as the QB of the present. If the Raiders miss out on Murray, they could go with Dwayne Haskins out of Ohio State. He’s a more traditional pocket passer, and while he doesn’t have the electricity of Murray, he might be a safer pick.
Gruden won a Super Bowl with Brad Johnson, so he knows how to win with what he gets. (Although, that was a different NFL.) If the Raiders go with Haskins at the fourth-overall pick, the Raiders may look to get anything for Carr while they still can.
Carr can be a starter caliber quarterback. The biggest problem here is there aren’t a lot of teams looking for a quarterback. Maybe the Dolphins, but in their state do they want a $25 million player under center? Carr is too expensive to sit behind a starter like Drew Brees or Tom Brady and wait for the starting position to open.
Still, this situation doesn’t feel like it’s going to work out. Carr would be much better served in another city, and the Raiders don’t want to go into Vegas with questions at the QB position. They’d much rather have the guy for the future under center and getting close with Antonio Brown before calling a new city home.
