March Madness has arrived and the wild West bracket is already sparking conversation. Let’s take a look at the teams in the 2019 NCAA Tournament West bracket.

It’s going to be a big party at the Big Dance in the wild West now that Selection Sunday has wrapped up and the 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket has been revealed for the West Region.

The top of the West Region bracket features matchups between No. 1 seed Gonzaga and the No. 16 seed, which will either be Farleigh Dickinson or Prairie View A&M, along with No. 8 Syracuse and No. 9 Baylor. The games will take place in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

Next comes No. 5 Marquette and No. 12 Murray State facing off in Hartford, Connecticut on Thursday. They will be joined by No. 4 Florida State and No. 13 Vermont.

The bottom half of the bracket features games between No. 6 seed Buffalo and the No. 11 seed, which will either be Arizona State or St. John’s. They will be joined by No. 3 Texas Tech and No. 14 Northern Kentucky. These teams will be meeting up in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday.

Lastly we have No. 7 seed Nevada and No. 10 Florida, as well as No. 2 Michigan facing off against No. 15 Montana. These games will play in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday.

The West Region games to watch will be a very athletic No. 12 Murray State and No. 13 Vermont pulling off first round upsets to shake up the bracket. If there’s going to be a big Cinderella story coming out of the West Region it could be Florida State, who lost their first four games before dominating the rest of their season.

The NCAA Tournament begins with the First Four games March 19 and 20 in Dayton, Ohio, followed by the First and Second Rounds March 21-24. The Regionals (Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight) take place March 28-31. The Midwest Regional will play in Kansas City, the West Regional will play in Anaheim, the South Regional will play in Louisville and the East Regional will play in Washington, D.C..

The Regionals lead up to the Final Four in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 6, and the 2019 Championship Game will be played on April 8 live on CBS.
