9-1-1 is back from its winter break with a powerful episode that explores relationships, new and old, while also keeping the people of Los Angeles safe.
Bobby and Athena are moving forward in their relationship and that’s a good thing, but Bobby has no idea what to expect when he meets her parents for the first time. And while he’s building a relationship, Maddie is trying to cut ties with her ex and it’s proving to be a bigger challenge than she expected, leaving Doug to wonder how to help her.

"Bobby meets Athena’s parents for the first time and Maddie attempts to end her marriage for good, causing Doug to insinuate himself even deeper into Chimney’s life. Meanwhile, a tanker carrying a tiger shark crashes on the freeway and a gas leak in a plastic surgeon’s office happens mid-surgery."
If the preview is any indication, Bobby is in for a rough ride with Athena’s mother. It’s not that she’s a bad person, but it’s clear that Athena has kept her mother in the dark on a number of things and Athena’s engagement to Bobby is pushing her over the edge.
And in the second preview, the team has to work together to save a man’s arm after be was bitten by a tiger shark about to be re-released into the wild. That means the team has two victims to worry about, but will they be able to save them both?
