There’s nothing like the excitement of March Madness, and even though it seems like there are tons of games to get through, the Final Four and the Women’s National Championship will be here before you know it. Here’s what you need to know about the 2019 NCAA Women’s Final Four.
The 2019 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament begins with the First and Second Round, which takes place at campus sites March 22-25. The action moves on to the regionals March 29-April 1. This year the four regional sites are Albany, Chicago, Greensboro and Portland.
Following the outcome of the Elite Eight, the four remaining teams in the Big Dance head to Tampa, Florida for the 2019 Women’s Final Four on Friday, April 5. The two winners will battle it out at the Amalie Arena for the title in the National Championship game on Sunday, April 7.
ESPN and its family of networks will broadcast the entirety of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, from the First and Second Rounds through the National Championship game.
There’s nothing quite like the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Every team that makes it to the Big Dance is packed with talent, and by the time the Women’s Final Four arrives it’s anyone’s title to win. In 2018 fans were treated to a spectacular finish as Notre Dame took down powerhouse UConn in the Final Four before moving on to beat Mississippi State at the buzzer for the title. All three of those teams will be dancing once again in 2019, and they’re all hungry to win the championship.
It’s not too early to start thinking about the 2020 Final Four and making those travel arrangements. That will take place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana April 3 and 5.
