Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night March 18th! Tonight we have  a small, but fun 4 game slate. We get Tampa, Chicago, San Jose, and Winnipeg all playing on this small slate, and all four have games they should win. These are definitely going to be teams I will be focusing on tonight when building my lineup.

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

Arizona @ Tampa Bay

Projected Goal Total: 6.5

Vancouver @ Chicago

Projected Goal Total: 6

Winnipeg @ Los Angeles

Projected Goal Total: 6

Vegas @ San Jose

Projected Goal Total: 6.5

NHL DFS Goalies:

My top goalie tonight is Connor Hellebuyck ($8,100) on the road in the City of Angels against the lowly Kings. Winnipeg allows the 3rd most shots against in the league (33.6) but LA ranks 30th in goals for with 2.34 GF/G, so this has the potential to be a huge DKFP night for Hellebuyck. In his last 2 starts Hellebuyck is 2-0 with 63 saves and only 4 goals allowed against two of the best offensive teams in Calgary and Boston

If you haven’t been paying attention you might not have realized that Corey Crawford ($7,900) is playing some amazing hockey right now for Chicago. Crawford has won 6 of his last 7 starts, including his last start on Saturday, a 48 save shutout against Montreal. Vancouver doesn’t take a lot of shots, only 29.6 SF/G good for 25th in the league, but they are also towards the bottom of the league in GF/G with only 2.68. Crawford is back but some people may not realize it and we could still have some low ownership on this small slate especially with a lot of people see Tampa hosting Arizona and may just flock to Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,200).

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – MARCH 11: Brendan Perlini #11 of the Chicago Blackhawks celebrates his second goal of the game against the Arizona Coyotes at the United Center on March 11, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Steven Stamkos ($6,900) – Tampa has already clinched their playoff spot and is a virtual lock to win the Atlantic, but Stamkos needs to start turning it back on before the playoffs start. In his last ten games Stamer only has 2 goals and is averaging just 3.2 DKFP per game. Tonight is a good night for Stamkos to get it going against the Coyotes.

Brock Boeser($6,800)/Bo Horvat($6,700) – If you don’t trust Crawford like I do or you’re playing multiple lineups and want to leverage against Crawford then I would look to the Vancouver PP, and especially Boeser and Horvat. Both guys have been playing some of their best hockey of late with Boeser having point in 5 straight and a 3 game streak going for Horvat.

Evander Kane ($6,200) – If you have yet to hear, Kane and his wife lost their daughter at 26 weeks a short time ago and as such Kane took time off to be with his family during this tragedy but did return this past Saturday night. Obviously hockey comes second to family but since he is back I just get the feeling he is going to want to play extra hard for his family and his team, who were extremely supportive during this tough time in his and his wife’s life.

Max Pacioretty ($4,900) – Pacioretty seems to enjoy playing the Sharks this season. In 2 games against the Sharks this season Pacioretty has 2 goals and is averaging 5.8 DKFP per game.

Brendan Perlini ($4,400) – Perlini seemed to suddenly find his game in the last 2 weeks with 10 points in his last 10 games (10 points in the previous 48 games he played in). In his last 5 games Perlini has 6 goals and 2 assists and has been playing with Dylan Strome and Alex DeBrincat

Joonas Donskoi ($3,500) – Donskoi was scratched on Saturday for his own bobble head night, talk about embarrassing. After being scratched Donskoi spoke about it on Sunday saying he understand why he was scratched and knows what he has to do to get back into the lineup, should he get back in on Monday we will see if he has turned things around.

Dylan Sikura ($2,900) – Sikura is not a household name by any means but he is playing on the top line of one of the best offenses in the league right now. He doesn’t have a ton of upside, but he has enough to warrant consideration in GPP’s playing with Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – FEBRUARY 24: Ben Chiarot #7 of the Winnipeg Jets shoots the puck against the Arizona Coyotes during the NHL game at Gila River Arena on February 24, 2019 in Glendale, Arizona. The Coyotes defeated the Jets 4-1. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Top Tier:

Erik Gustafsson ($5,500) – For a change the top-tier of defensemen is kind barren tonight. We have top talent, but they just aren’t playing great right now. I like Gustafsson to be a good fantasy play tonight against Vancouver who allows the 8th most PP opportunities and is middle of the league (16th) in shorthanded %.

Other Options: Jacob Trouba ($5,400), Oliver Ekman-Larsson ($4,500)

Value Tier:

Ben Chiarot ($4,000) -Chiarot has 1 goal and 3 assists in his last 5 games and is averaging 3.9 DKFP per game. Unfortunately Chiarot doesn’t play on the power play, but he still sees over 18 minutes per game.

Other Options: Matthew Roy ($3,500), Troy Stecher ($3,100)

SAN JOSE, CA – DECEMBER 21: Joe Pavelski #8, Brent Burns #88, Joe Thornton #19, Kevin Labanc #62, and Tomas Hertl #48 of the San Jose Sharks celebrate after Joe Thornton #19 scored a goal against the Vancouver Canucks at SAP Center on December 21, 2017 in San Jose, California. NHL DFS Line Stacks:

My top stack of the night is the top line from Winnipeg. These guys had gone ice cold for a while, but has seemed to turn it back on of late and are definitely worth playing against LA tonight.

More from FanSided

PATRIK LAINE
MARK SCHEIFELE
BLAKE WHEELER

San Jose ranks 6th n PP% on the season, mainly because of their top  PP unit. Vegas does a have a highly ranked PK unit, but with Marc-Andre Fleury likely to miss this game and the Knights on the second night of a back to back they could be vulnerable.

TOMAS HERTL
LOGAN COUTURE
JOE PAVELSKI
KEVIN LABANC
BRENT BURNS

Other Options:

Vegas 1

Winnipeg PP1

Chicago 2

San Jose 1

Arizona 1

NHL DFS Core Plays:

Starting with Chicago I want to focus on their hottest line so I am looking to use either Dlyan Strome or Alex DeBrincat with Brandon Perlini. I want to use Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele, also from Winnipeg I want to use Ben Chiarot to save some cash. As of writing this I am using Oliver Ekman -Larsson in my core, but that could change depending on what I decide to do with my last 2 spots. If you use this core (I used Strome instead of DeBrincat) you will have $4,800 each for your last winger and utility spot.
