High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (at SAC – $6,400): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.2 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Allen has been playing well as of late and now he has a great matchup against the Kings. He underperformed against them on Jan. 21 but I expect him to be much better in this game. He has a high ceiling and with the pace up, his minutes should be there in a big way. I have high hopes for Allen in this one given his recent play and the matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs LAL – $6,200): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.3 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Speaking of guys who underperformed against good matchups, Lopez had just 15.6 fantasy points when the Bucks played the Lakers on Mar. 1. He has to be better in this one. He’s sort of a boom or bust guy but he’s been booming more often than not this season. It’s the Bucks, at home, against the Lakers. Lopez will have a bounce-back performance and deliver a booming game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Andrew Bogut (at MIN – $3,500): Needs 15.7 fantasy points. Bogut is back on the Warriors and already in the starting lineup. If he’s going to start once again, he’s going to get his numbers because it’s impossible for a Warriors center to not get numbers given how they play basketball. The Timberwolves are a much easier matchup than the Spurs and Bogut is at a very good salary given the team he’s on and the minutes he’ll likely play. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
