If the Raiders opt to tab Kyler Murray as their next franchise quarterback, why not give him one of his favorite college targets to sweeten the deal in Oklahoma’s Marquise Brown?

Jon Gruden has been very transparent in his desire to give the Raiders one of the league’s best wide receiving units, and so far the trade for Antonio Brown and signings of Tyrell Williams and J.J. Nelson has seemed to back up those plans.

While Marquise Brown is still recovering from surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury, he could be a target for Oakland in the top half of the second round. Depending on how confident the team is in his medical evaluations (Brown says he will be ready for training camp), the Raiders could use their new influx of talent at the position to limit the electric Brown’s reps in his rookie season.

Brown also just so happens to be the cousin of Antonio Brown, further adding to the speculation that the team could be targeting him with one of their early round selections. This connection, along with the potential for the team to add his college quarterback, makes Marquise Brown and the Raiders potentially one of the strongest player-team connections in the entire 2019 NFL Draft.
