2019 NFL mock draft: Giants trade up for Dwayne Haskins
By Brad Weiss
The 2019 NFL Draft is a little over a month away, and with only a few first round quarterbacks available, teams could get desperate to move up.
The NFL has started to officially own the headlines in recent weeks, starting with the Oakland Raiders huge trade for wide receiver Antonio Brown. With free agency in full swing, the NFL is seeing some of their biggest names find new homes, including a player like Le’Veon Bell, who will be donning the Green and White of the New York Jets next season.
As we inch ever so closer to the NFL Draft, here is our latest 2019 NFL mock draft.
The Arizona Cardinals did trade up during the 2018 NFL Draft to select Josh Rosen, a strong-armed quarterback out of UCLA. In his rookie season, Rosen got the chance to show the organization what he can do, but the team was terrible, and mostly found himself on his back throughout the year.
Despite the fact that Rosen had little weapons to utilize, and terrible offensive line, it appears the organization is set on moving on from him. When Kyler Murray from Oklahoma was measured over 5-foot-10, he basically signed his name on the No. 1 overall pick index card, and he would be perfect for new head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.
Murray is a tremendous talent, but it will be interesting to see how he manages to play at the NFL level based on his size. It has yet to affect him in his career to date, and based on what he can do with a football in his hands, the Cardinals may not be able to pass on him with the No. 1 overall pick in April.
