DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks March 21
We have our last dual round week of the EuroLeague season just in time for the NCAA Tournament! This promises to be an exciting week in the EuroLeague. Lower scores ruled the day on Tuesday and they likely will here as well. My Wednesday score was the same as my Tuesday one. Tuesday cashed. Wednesday was less than halfway up the standings.

Vassilis Spanoulis, Nikola Ivanovic, Aleksa Ilic, Luke Nelson, Metecan Birsen, and Tyler Ennis are the only players ruled out so far.
However, there are a ton of questionable players. Norris Cole was not on the Podgorica roster for Tuesday’s game, and without explanation, it seems like that Cole is going to be out again. Joffrey Lauvergne, Adrien Moerman, Adam Hanga, Kevin Seraphin, Dino Hackett, Janis Strelnieks, Eulis Baez, Devin Williams, and Al Oliver are all questionable here.
The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:
Norris Cole is the highest priced guard, but he is unlikely to play, I would think. Kostas Sloukas, Sergio Rodriguez, and Nando de Colo were all busts on Tuesday, and have an even tougher matchup today. Cory Higgins is the only CSKA guard we can trust right now. I still don’t like the matchup though.
Shane Larkin was held in check on Tuesday, but that should come as no surprise. He has a much easier go of it here against Podgorica, especially if Cole is out. If I pay for a guard, it will be Larkin on this slate. The inconsistency of Thomas Huertel is not appealing at all.
Vasilje Micic and Krunoslav Simon continue to poach each other’s value. If you must use one, Simon is performing far better at the moment, but Micic still has more upside.
Spanoulis has already been ruled out again, so it’s all systems go on Briante Weber yet again. The only difference is today Weber gets to take a crack at Gran Canaria. Weber could be my favorite guard at any level today. His upside is huge today. Even Nigel Williams-Goss is back on my radar this round.
Stefan Jovic and Nihad Dedovic both played well last week, but it’s hard to trust any guards against Fenerbahce. Still, their consistently solid performances at least make them worth a look since the price point is solid. You could do a lot worse.
Last week should have been a huge spot for Clevin Hannah with Albert Oliver held off the roster. It wasn’t. If you want to use any Gran Canaria guard this week, save your money and go with Nikola Radicevic. He is the only consistent producer in the entire lot.
Maodo Lo will get you somewhere between 11 and 18 DraftKings points. That’s about as certain as things get in the EuroLeague, especially for value picks. Petteri Koponen will provide you with about the same, but has a worse matchup this week.
I really like Kevin Pangos here again if Adam Hanga is ruled out. Pau Ribas is worth a look either way. It’s possibly to go really cheap at guard today and still wring out solid value.
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
Will Clyburn gets top billing again, and was really good in the first matchup with Fenerbahce, so I could see using him again. However, Nikola Milutinov looks to be the far better option here. Milutinov put up good numbers on Munich, and was a beast against Gran Canaria the first time around.

Adrien Moerman did return to the last five minutes of Tuesday’s game, but there is still no confirmation of what was ailing him. I would rather go with the sure thing in Ante Tomic. Tomic was strong against Gran Canaria, but only played 17 minutes in the blowout win. If anything scares you off of Milutinov, that should be it.
Goga Bitadze put up 22.75 DraftKings points in 17 minutes on Tuesday. He may finally be getting back to the point where we can use him. Bitadze has 50 point upside, but I doubt if Podgorica plays him enough to hit that mark again this year.
Danilo Barthel is the guy you want from the Munich frontcourt. He has taken all of the wind from Derrick Williams’ sails. Honestly, I think I want to ride the coattails of the huge game from Nikola Kalinic on Tuesday. I had Melli instead. This time I’m taking Kalinic.
Earl Clark was an absolute beast with Norris Cole out on Tuesday. If Cole is out again, Clark appears to be the guy we want on our roster. You can run it back with Bryant Dunston, who was huge on Tuesday as well.
Jacob Wiley is still putting up good numbers for Gran Canaria, but I think I want to chase the matchup of Georgios Printezis today. Kostas Papanikolaou could be a nice pick since he should play good minutes in the impending blowout. Both Papanikolaou and Zach LeDay were huge off the bench against an overmatched Munich front.
Devin Booker is at the top of the value tier, but he has had two really good games for the price since his return. I like him here against Barcelona, especially if Hanga is out again. Victor Claver is worth a look if Seraphin is unable to go.
We really shouldn’t need to go that much lower for value today. Not many of the players tip the salary scales. Guard is the place to go cheap if you want to.
