Auburn Tigers – Tim Cook
Technology has been the driving force in the world for quite some time. Everyone has a cell phone or a computer. The iPhone and anything Apple related is the biggest name in the technology game, and it is only getting stronger. Tim Cook (Class of 1982) is the current CEO of Apple. He took over as CEO after co-founder Steve Jobs passed away.
Baylor Bears – Joanna Gaines
Interior design is something every single homeowner dabbles in. Few are better than former Baylor University student Joanna Gaines (Class of ’01). The designer, when teamed with her husband Chip, forms the Magnolia company. The Gaines own restaurants, an interior design company and a successful TV show on HGTV known as Fixer Upper. Gaines has also written two books with her favorite recipes and interior design tips.
Belmont Bruins – Brad Paisley
The music industry is a very tough business that does not have a great success rate. Brad Paisley (attended 1993-1995) has been at the forefront of country music for a while. The singer has sold over 11 million albums and has won a slew of awards. His awards include three Grammy awards, 14 American Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards and two American Music Awards. In the country music world, Paisley was bestowed the greatest honor, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Bradley Braves – Charley Steiner
Sports are narrated by some of the best storytellers in the broadcasting world. Charley Steiner (Class of ’71) is the current broadcaster for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The broadcaster has had a long career working at ESPN and anchoring SportsCenter, NBA games and was a former broadcaster for the Yankees. Steiner had big shoes to fill in La La Land as he took over lead broadcasting duties for the Dodgers after legendary Vin Scully retired.
