8. Gonzaga-Michigan, West Region, Elite Eight

Next up is the first of our potential Elite Eight matchups between Gonzaga and Michigan in the West Region. The Bulldogs are the top seed that no one is talking about thanks to their presence in the West Coast Conference, but they have been one of the best teams in the country all year.

Gonzaga certainly has the pedigree for another deep March run, but they could face off with another battle-tested team in the Elite Eight in Michigan. The Wolverines got all the way to the national championship a year ago, and the majority of that roster is back for another run at glory.

Mo Wagner is now in the NBA, but freshman Ignas Brazdeikis has helped to fill the void with 15.1 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. The Wolverines are also an excellent defensive team, making them a tough out in any game, but even more so in a single-elimination tournament.

Either team would have a great shot at taking down Duke in the Final Four, but they would have to lock horns with each other to earn that opportunity. Sounds like a must-watch affair to us.
