Limoges. Sekou Doumbouya. 12. player. 110. . F

We won’t get the same sort of hoopla around Doumbouya during international championship play this summer as we did last year with Luka Doncic, as CSP Limoges did not qualify for EuroLeague. Instead, they are competing for the French League title and are currently 1-1 in league play.

That probably limits the ceiling on how much Doumbouya can do for his draft stock between now and mid-June. He won’t be able to take center stage once the NBA regular season is complete so that casual fans and the larger circle of NBA decision-makers can go see him in pressure situations. All of that assuredly helped Doncic cement his top-five status last year.

Doumbouya instead will have to impress teams who host him for private workouts and interviews before the draft. Doncic did not work out for anyone but expect Doumbouya to flip that script with less familiarity surrounding his game.

All that said, we’ve stuck with Doumbouya to the Heat all season and won’t switch now. Miami needs talent up and down its roster and cementing a wing trio of Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow and Doumbouya would be a fantastic opportunity.
