Romeo Langford. 7. player. 125. . G. Indiana

Archie Miller put Langford on the bench during Indiana’s first-round NIT matchup on Tuesday night due to back issues that arose in their loss to Ohio State during the Big Ten tournament.

“He dealt with it through the Ohio State game, and post-Ohio State, he’s had multiple treatments a day, and he’s not feeling very good,” Miller told the media. For a player likely to enter the NBA Draft, Langford should take it slowly. There is little to gain even if the Hoosiers win the whole NIT.

At the very least, we may have to wait until after the potential battle against Daniel Gafford and Arkansas on Saturday night.

“Romeo would like to come back,” Miller said. “There are short turnarounds right here with these games, so I don’t necessarily know if one day is going to make a lot of difference for him. Maybe it takes us into that second week.”

We may even get Langford against the NIT’s top overall seed, UNC-Greensboro, if we’re lucky. There are plenty of opportunities left to see the freshman, even if his local reporters are still clamoring for him to return to Indiana as the state’s prodigal son.
