It’s one of the best sports days of the year as the nation shuts down to enjoy the start of March Madness, so why isn’t it a national holiday?
March Madness is here! Finally, one of the best sports days of the year has arrived with 16 college basketball games in the next two days and a total of 48 over the next four days.
Why isn’t today a national holiday?!
No one is getting anything done at work today, except for me (my bosses are reading) so why not make it a long weekend. I should run for office and make this happen. Can I count on your vote?
Best sports days, ranked

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I’ve just been handed an urgent news story. I need all of you, to stop what you’re doing and listen.
Ron Burgundy joins the FOX Sports West broadcast booth Thursday night for the Kings-Sharks game. The legendary anchorman will join the call at the start of the second period. This is kind of a big deal.
The NCAA is under fire (stop me if you’ve heard that before) for their video “A Day in the Life of a Student-Athlete” that is getting eviscerated on Twitter. The video, which is nothing more than propaganda from the NCAA to justify billion dollar institutions not paying student-athletes for lining their pockets with cash.

This video is ridiculous. It’s basically 30 seconds of, “Come play your sports here for free because you love it and you love school so dang much.” The video is really authentic too because you didn’t see the kid eat during his 18-hour day. What’s really a joke is this actor got paid more for this 30-seconds of fail than any student-athlete.

Colgate player Jordan Burns missed the team’s flight to Columbus for their NCAA Tournament game. Instead of trying to take a later flight, the freshman took an Uber from New York to Columbus. Come on, man, don’t you know 4/5 Colgate players recommend taking the charter flight?!
After the Colgate Basketball team arrived in Columbus, OH they noticed they left a player at the airport in New York.

Freshman Jordan Burns missed the charter flight and is now taking a Uber to Columbus to meet up with the team.
National Proposal Day
March 21 is National Proposal Day, and let me tell ya, as a single person, I can tell you the best way to propose is at a sporting event. If you can incorporate the Jumbotron, PA announcer and mascot too, that’s even better. They’ve done studies, you know. 60 percent of the time, it works every time.
