The second weekend of conference play for SEC baseball teams features series between some highly ranked teams.

What we thought we knew about the different SEC baseball teams from nonconference play heading into the first weekend of SEC play was confirmed on a number of counts. The Mississippi State Bulldogs seem legit, the Auburn Tigers can pitch with the best of them, and the Georgia Bulldogs look like they can beat you in a variety of ways.

For other SEC baseball teams, we still have a number of questions. Will the Ole Miss Rebels have enough pitching to match their vaunted offense? Will the Tennessee Volunteers be able to muster up enough runs to support their stellar pitching? Will LSU be able to compete against the best teams in the conference?

Week two of SEC play for the 2019 SEC baseball season should continue to bring the larger picture of the conference into focus. With nine SEC baseball teams currently ranked in the D1baseball.com Top 25, there is never an easy series.

But with so many ranked teams, there will always be some really good games on tap each weekend. The second week of conference play is no exception. There are three series going on this weekend where teams that are ranked will play one another. And those three series make up our Top SEC series for the weekend.

So if you are looking for high-quality SEC baseball, you are in for a treat this weekend. The teams playing each other are not only ranked, but each of the teams is in the top 15.

Any rankings referred to in this page will be referring to the aforementioned D1baseball.com Top 25 rankings.
