High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

De’Aaron Fox (at LAL – $7,700): Needs 37.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.5 fantasy points against Phoenix. It’s a back-to-back for the Kings but they are getting whatever this version is of the Lakers, so does it really count? The Lakers are out of the playoff race and Kings may as well be out. But the Kings still want to stick it to the Lakers because why wouldn’t they? Fox is averaging 44.8 fantasy points in three games against the Lakers this season. He’ll deliver again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Elfrid Payton (vs HOU – $7,600): Needs 37.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.75 fantasy points against Orlando. The triple-double streak is over in a weird game for the Pelicans. I’m going to assume it was just a rough night for the starters and expect them to be better in this one. And as good as Houston’s offense is, their defense isn’t much to write home about. With Holiday still out of the lineup, Payton will be left to run the offense. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Chris Paul (at NO – $7,000): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.25 fantasy points against San Antonio. If nothing else, Paul is going to be around value. I don’t know what Houston’s plan is going forward. They seem pretty locked into the three seed and maybe they’ll actually limit the minutes of Paul and Harden? But until I see it, I refuse to believe it. So I’m operating under the assumption that Paul plays his usual minutes and gets his usual numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
