Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Tuesday night March 26th. Tonight we have a 7 game NHL slate with no real big game for the first time in a few weeks. We have some good teams, and some good matchups, but when you have a slate with 10 of the 14 teams out of the playoffs it doesn’t come across as a great slate.

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

NY Islanders @ Columbus

Projected Goal Total: 5.5

Carolina @ Washington

Projected Goal Total: 6

Buffalo @ Ottawa

Projected Goal Total: 6.5

Florida @ Montreal

Projected Goal Total: 6

Los Angeles @ Edmonton

Projected Goal Total: 6

Chicago @ Arizona

Projected Goal Total: 6.5

Anaheim @ Vancouver

Projected Goal Total: 5.5

NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight you will see all my goalies come in under $8,000 and that is because only Braden Holtby ($8,300) and Carey Price ($8,000) are the only two goalies priced at $8,000 (Copley is $8,100 as well but I don’t believe he starts).

My top choice in net tonight is that man in the picture above, John Gibson ($7,300) on the road against the Canucks. Gibson is 5-1-0 in his last 6 starts and has a 2.50 GAA and a .926 SV%.

Mikko Koskinen ($7,900) at home against the Kings on the second night of a back to back for the Kings. Koskinen has not played that well of late, but one of the few teams worse than the Oilers in the standings are the Kings. This is a game the Oilers could easily win especially since the Kings played last night.

My last goaltender choice for tonight will be the starter for the Islanders tonight. Both Robin Lehner and Thomas Greiss (both $7,700) on the road against a Columbus team that’s had the wheels completely fall off as they sit on the outside looking in for the playoffs. Lehner had a great weekend during which he beat the Flyers and Coyotes on back to back days, including a shutout of the Coyotes.

NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Top Tier:

The 4 $8K Guys: All for of the top priced guys are in play, especially if I use Gibson and his low price in net. Connor McDavid ($8,300) and Jack Eichel ($8,200) are my two favorite of the 4 (the other 2 are Alex Ovechkin ($8,200 ) and Patrick Kane($8,300) are also good plays)

Jonathan Toews ($7,400) – Toews alongside Kane and Alex DeBrincat ($6,400) are one of the top lines to play tonight on the road in Arizona. In 2 games against the Coyotes this season Toews has 1 goal and 2 assists as well as a 5.3 DKFP per game average.

Brendan Gallagher ($6,600) – Gallagher has 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 4 games for the Canadiens and has an average of 6.25 DKFP per game during this span. Against the Panthers this season Gallagher has 2 goals in 3 games.

Mid Tier:

Rickard Rakell ($5,600) – Anaheim is starting to play some good hockey and Rakell is one of the reasons why. Coming into tonight’s game Rakell has goals in back to back games (3 goals total) as well as an assist and is averaging 6.75 DKFP per game.

Josh Anderson ($5,000) – Anderson had himself one of his best games of the season with 2 goals and an assist on Sunday in Vancouver and we get him at $300 less than Sunday. Anderson has not picked up any points against the Islanders this season in 3 games, but that most certainly can change tonight while playing alongside Ryan Dzingel and Matt Duchene

Jordan Staal ($4,500) – Staal has points in 7 of his last 10 games against the Capitals totaling 5 goals and 6 assists. Even though he has played well of late with 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 5, he is having his worst season 2014-15, but that’s the beauty of daily fantasy, it only matters what you’re doing now.

Value Tier:

Brett Connolly ($4,300) – Connolly is having a career year with career highs in goals, assists, and points ( I know what I just said about season stats). Over his last 6 games, Connolly has 4 goals and 4 assists while playing with a hot line for the Caps with Carl Hagelin and Lars Eller

Paul Byron ($3,900) – Byron comes into tonight’s game on a mini hot streak with goals in 2 straight games. I want to get exposure to the Canadiens in this game since Florida can’t really seem to keep the puck out of the net of late, allowing 7 goals to the Leafs last night

Max Veronneau ($3,700) – Veronneau started out his NHL career with a goal and an assist in his first 3 games, but in the 2 games since he’s been shutout. Against the very beatable Carter Hutton tonight, Veronneau could get back on to the score sheet.

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

High Tier:

Shea Weber ($6,300) – Weber has 3 goals and 3 assists over the last 8 games and has 37  shots on goal over this same span. Besides playing on the top D pair for the Habs, Weber sees time with the first PP unit and plays nearly 23 minutes per game

Other Options: Thomas Chabot ($6,000), Duncan Keith ($4,500)

Value Tier:

Dylan DeMelo ($3,700) – DeMelo has 1 goal and an assists against the Sabres this season in 2 games as well as an average of 3.3 DKFP per game. With a goal and 5 assists in his last, DeMelo is playing his best hockey of the season right now

Other Options: Johnny Boychuk ($4,000), Nick Jensen ($2,900)

WASHINGTON, DC – FEBRUARY 11: Evgeny Kuznetsov #92 and Alex Ovechkin #8 of the Washington Capitals look on against the Los Angeles Kings during the third period at Capital One Arena on February 11, 2019 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Line Stacks:

My top line tonight is going to be the Caps top PP unit against the Hurricanes. Carolina has play well, but the Capitals are hot right now considering they’ve scored less than 3 goals once since February 24th.

More from FanSided

EVGENY KUZNETSOV
NICKLAS BACKSTROM
T.J. OSHIE
ALEX OVECHKIN
JOHN CARLSON

My second favorite stack for tonight is the Panthers top PP unit. Montreal should win this game, but Florida can put the puck in the net with the best teams in the league, seeing as they scored 5 last night.

EVGENII DADONOV
ALEKSANDER BARKOV
JONATHAN HUBERDEAU
KEITH YANDLE
MIKE HOFFMAN

Other Options: Edmonton 1, Ottawa 1 and PP 2, Columbus 1, Buffalo 1, Montreal PP 2, Anaheim 1.

NHL DFS Core Plays:

I want to start my lineup build with John Gibson in net, and my top mini stack I am using Connor McDavid and  Leon DraisaitlTo save some cash I want to use Max Veronneau and Dylan Demelo from Ottawa. Last I will use a min stack from the Canadiens 2nd PP unit with Brendan Gallagher and Jeff PetryThis will leave you $4,050 for a winger and your utility spot.
