2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins go early
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a ton of weaponry on the offensive side of the ball this offseason, as Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown will both be playing for new teams in 2019. Bell signed with the New York Jets in free agency, and Brown was traded to the Oakland Raiders, two teams who really improved their roster so far in 2019.
As Pittsburgh looks to pick up the pieces on offense, there is still a lot to like, as James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster are more than capable of putting together big seasons. With the No. 20 overall pick in April, the Steelers should look to add another weapon to the offense, and A.J. Brown would be a solid fit to their roster.
Brown shredded SEC defenses during his time at Ole Miss, and should have the same kind of impact at the NFL level. With Brown and JuJu on the outside, Big Ben would have two tremendously talented targets to throw to, and it would soften the blow left by the losses of Antonio and Le’Veon in 2019.
Pittsburgh has been the team to beat in the AFC North for so long, though Baltimore won the division last season, and the Cleveland Browns look like a legitimate contender in 2019. They have to make the right moves to revamp this roster this offseason, and adding A.J. Brown to the wide receiver group is a solid start.
