Tim Burton is bringing the world of Dumbo to life this spring, and it’s predicted to be a massive hit. Now, the question is, will it be in 3D and IMAX?
Disney and Tim Burton are bringing the world of Dumbo alive this spring, and it’s predicted to be a massive hit.
The fantasy adventure, which is a remake of the animated 1941 classic made by Walt Disney himself, which was based on the Helen Aberson and Harold Pearl novel, tells the story of an elephant who uses his extraordinarily large ears to fly.
For those who have seen the original version, one would know that the original Dumbo was kind of a sad story, and we’re pretty sure that the new version (at least, from what we’ve seen in the trailers) will follow along with the same emotional wavelength as the 1941 classic.
One thing that the Tim Burton version will have over Walts is the fact that 2019 Dumbo will be shown in 3D and IMAX.

Given the premise of the story, Dumbo would definitely look like a gem an even bigger screen, and with 3D glasses, kids — and adults — will get a kick out of seeing the flying Dumbo heading straight toward them.
When the film was in production, there wasn’t any doubt that Dumbo would be in 3D and IMAX. Most of the Disney films that have been remade over the past few years have been tailor-made for 3D and IMAX, which not only heightens the experience of moviegoers but will also bring in a lot more cash for the studio.
Dumbo is a film that always seemed like it was meant for 3D and IMAX, and now, it’s almost close to being a reality. Dumbo will be released in IMAX and 3D, along with the regular 2D theaters, on March 29.
