Buckle up Eastern Conference fans as we have a full blown playoff race, with just three games in the standings separating the Nets, Pistons, Heat, Magic and Hornets. And with room for just three of those five teams in the postseason, the final weeks will be a doozy- ESPECIALLY if you love mediocre teams who are gonna struggle to win 40 games.
Because unfortunately that is what we are stuck with. But on a new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast with The Second Arrangement’s Kelly Dwyer (@kdonhoops), we don’t let it get us down. Even if we do have strong opinions about which two teams we don’t want to watch in the playoffs.
Also covered on today’s show:
- Is it fair that no one is going to pick the Pacers over the Celtics in a potential first round series even if Indiana ends up with homecourt advantage?
- While Mike Budenholzer seems a shoo-in to win coach of the year, is Nate McMillan a more deserving candidate?
- How has Orlando’s defense been so suffocating despite involving copious numbers of underwhelming players?
- Why did the Hornets wait so long to unleash Miles Bridges?
- What role did Erik Spoelstra’s job security play in Miami unlocking their most effective rotations?
- Which team’s style of play inspires the tastiest guitar licks?
