FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 27, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (at CHI – $11,000): Needs 48.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 59.2 fantasy points against Brooklyn. This is a tough game to predict because I don’t know how the Blazers are going to be without Nurkic. They could be in for a big downer as they travel to Chicago just days after losing one of their most important players. And Lillard’s game changes in a big way because Nurkic is a reliable pick-and-roll partner and screen setter. The ceiling is high for Lillard, but this could easily be a game where Lillard and the Blazers understandably out of it and just underdeliver. If you think that will be the case, you save money or hope Russell Westbrook bounces back in a big way. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
Stephen Curry (at MEM – $9,300): Needs 40.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.3 fantasy points against Detroit. You typically know what you’re getting from Steph at this point. And if the Warriors decide to rest anyone, it will open up more opportunities for him. I don’t know what to expect from Memphis or if the Warriors will actually care. Memphis will try hard but the Warriors can just overwhelm them with talent. Either way, Curry will get his numbers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Ricky Rubio (vs LAL – $6,800): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.2 fantasy points against Phoenix. The concern is a lack of minutes in a blowout. But even in a blowout, Rubio should get plenty of numbers. The Lakers just offer nothing and they are on a back-to-back. Rubio will get his scoring and assist numbers in this one without question. His ceiling isn’t as high as some of the other top point guards, but he’s a more reliable option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
