The Los Angeles Lakers are finishing up a lost season, but Lance Stephenson gave the fans a highlight to remember by destroying Jeff Green’s career.

Jeff Green. Aug. 28, 1986 – March 26, 2018. RIP.

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Washington Wizards in a meaningless game at Staples Center. Or, so we thought.

In the final seconds of the first quarter, Lakers guard Lance Stephenson put a host of moves on Wizards forward Jeff Green. The result was Green being shook into another stratosphere, while Los Angeles’ bench players poured out of their seats in stunned disbelief. For good measure, Stephenson hit the jumper and then did some absurd dance.

Look, everybody is going to point out that Stephenson stepped on Green’s foot, and fine. He stepped on the guy’s foot. However, Green was already on skates and well on his way to SportCenter’s Top 10 in all the wrong ways. Man had no chance. This thing belongs on one of those old-school mix tapes that people would make from breaking ankles at Rucker Park in NYC.

These are the kind of moments we should be thankful for the internet. Now Stephenson has a great highlight that will be shared millions of times, instead of only being seen live by the night owls, or on the 8 o’clock SportsCenter. Plus, we can pay our proper respects to Green, who might as well of just walked off the court and signed his retirement papers on the spot.

Los Angeles and Washington might be completely out of the playoff picture, but this was gold.
