Milwaukee Brewers

During last year’s offseason,  the Milwaukee Brewers went out and made some big moves to bolster their roster, and boy did it pay off in year one. The Brewers not only won the NL Central, edging out the Chicago Cubs, but they made it all the way to the National League Championship Series, where they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7.

Expect more of the same from the Brewers in 2019, as they head into the year with the National League reigning Most Valuable Player in Christian Yelich. Yelich was a part of the best outfield in baseball last season, as he joined Lorenzo Cain and Ryan Braun to form an incredible trio for Milwaukee. There are not many holes in this roster, and manager Craig Counsell is outstanding at pushing the right buttons.

Best case scenario

The Brewers have the talent to win the whole thing this season, and that has to be the goal heading into the 2019 campaign. They came so close to making it to the World Series last year, and have added talent to the roster, so it would not surprise anybody if the Brewers were the last team standing this October.

Worst case scenario

The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals put together better seasons than the Brewers, and the team has to hope to sneak into the playoffs as a Wild Card team. While that does not seem likely, the Cubs do have incredible talent up and down their lineup, and have the kind of playoff experience that should scare the Brewers as they try to repeat in the NL Central.
