Welcome to NASCAR DFS Truck series edition for Friday nights Vankor 350 emanating from Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas!

Will this week be the NASCAR DFS week someone finally dethrones Kyle Busch atop the leader board? Probably not, but luckily he can only run 5 races in this series and this is his 4th.

There are two clear favorites this week, the aforementioned Kyle Busch, and the defending champion here, Johnny Sauter.

It’s no surprise that they are also the top two drivers when it comes to price this week either. There are not a ton of lap lead points in this race with only 147 laps being run here, so if Kyle gets out front early it will benefit you greatly to have him in your lineup. Generally once he gets out front, he is there to stay.

NASCAR DFS: Leaders of the Pack

Kyle Busch ($16,000)

2019 Avg Finish: 1st

Kyle is the clear favorite every time he is on the track in the Truck series in his KBM #51. This week is no different and after fading him the past couple of weeks, it might be time to give in and roster him, especially since I think there is some good value drivers this week that are good plays.

Johnny Sauter ($11,300)

2019 Avg Finish: 10.5

Sauter is the defending champion in this race and has the best chance to keep Busch out of Victory Lane. After a disappointing run at Daytona where he finished 23rd, Sauter has 3 straight finishes inside the top 10 and has an average finish of 6.3.

Stewart Friesen ($9,800)

2019 Avg Finish: 9.3

After an ok start to the season with an 18th and a 10th place finish to open the season Friesen has turned out two great performances finishing inside the top 5 in the last 2 races. Friesen has also led 38 laps total in the last two races as well accumulating 105 DKFP. If I can find enough value I want to roster both Busch and Friesen, but I don’t know if we can.

Ross Chastain ($9,500)

2019 Avg Finish: 5.8

Chastain gave Busch a run for his money for most of the race last weekend and ended up winning Stage 2 and earning a playoff point. Chastain led 53 laps in route to a 4th place finish, his 2nd top 5 and 4th top 10 in 4 races this season. It’s a toss-up between Chastain and Friesen for me, I am still leaning Friesen since he was 4th in final practice on Thursday meanwhile Chastain ran 17th.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($10,700) – driving the same car that Sauter won in last year.

NASCAR DFS: Middle of the Pack

Grant Enfinger ($9,200)

2019 Avg Finish: 5.8

Enfinger ran 12th in final practice on Thursday in his ThorSport Racing #98 Ford and one was of only 3 Fords inside the top 12. After 7th last week, Enfinger finds himself in second place 4 points behind new point leader, Stewart Friesen. Enfinger has only one finish outside the top 10 this season, and that was an 11th place finish at Las Vegas.

Brennan Poole ($8,300)

2019 Avg Finish: 21.5

Poole has not impressed this season with his best finish a 13 place finish at Atlanta. While his finishes haven’t been impressive, Poole does have a fast car this weekend at Texas finishing 3rd in final practice and if he qualifies outside the top 20 on Friday he could give you some great value for his price tag.

Austin Hill ($8,100)

2019 Avg Finish: 13.5

Nobody was faster in final practice on Thursday was Hill where he ran just ahead of Brett Moffitt. Hill started out the year on fire winning at Daytona and then a 7th place finish at Atlanta. Since the hasn’t cracked the top 15 with 16th and 30th place finishes the last 2 races. Hill clearly has a fast car and will look to get back into the top 10 this week at Texas.

Other Options: Harrison Burton ($8,900), Sheldon Creed ($8,000)

NASCAR DFS: Back of the Pack

Jesse Little ($7,300)

2019 Avg Finish: 21.0

Little is at the top end of the value and will be difficult to fit in with Busch because of his price (depending if you try to fit another top price driver with Busch) but he could be worth it. Last season Little finished 7th in this race, but it might difficult to do this year since he ran 27th in final practice. Even though he didn’t run well in practice he obviously has a good grasp of this track and will use that to help him secure another top 10.

Anthony Alfredo (6,200)

2019 Avg Finish: 17.5

Alfredo is only running in his third race this season and has finished inside the top 20 in both of his previous races. In final practice on Thursday Alfredo had one of the fastest trucks on the track and ran the 8th best lap.

Jennifer Jo Cobb ($5,900)

2019 Avg Finish: 24.5

Cobb is not going to win this race and probably won’t even finish inside the top 20. What she will give you is salary cap space,  positive place differential points, and a finish. She will finish the race and stay out of trouble. If she qualifies inside the top 20 you may have to look at some other low-priced options

Other Options: Tyler Ankrum ($7,000), Angela Ruch ($6,500), Cory Roper ($6,000), Josh Reaume ($5,700)
