5 NFL players who should compete at WrestleMania
The WWE loves to feature big guys and the NFL has plenty of them. Here are five football stars we’d like to see compete at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania season is here, but not every WWE fan is satisfied with the gigantic card the company has put together. Adding some NFL talent to the event might really spice things up. After all, football’s biggest stars aren’t due to report to training camp until July. They’ve got more than enough time to work in a big wrestling match before getting back to their day jobs.
There isn’t enough space for every NFL player who might want a match at WrestleMania. Only a handful would really be interesting enough to make the event more entertaining. As such, this piece will detail the five professional football players who really should be competing at the event. We start with a defensive back who’d be great on the microphone.
5. Jalen Ramsey
Not only is the Jaguars defensive back a Pro Bowler, but he also has a well-earned reputation for being one of the biggest trash-talkers in the league. After all, Jalen Ramsey was bold enough to go the media and roast a number of NFL quarterbacks before the start of last season.
As a cornerback, Ramsey isn’t quite big enough to be challenging for the Universal or WWE Championships. Instead, he should be in the Intercontinental title picture. Putting him in the match with Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley could really help spice up the feud.
The idea of he and Lio Rush talking trash to one another is enough to get Ramsey on the card on its own. The fact that he’s also an exceptional athlete who should be able to pull off some high-flying maneuvers in the ring only adds to Ramsey’s qualifications. The Jaguars wouldn’t like it, but he’d be great in an offseason run with the WWE.
