5 reasons why Samoa Joe will win at WrestleMania 35
4. Mysterio’s career is winding down
It’s easy to think of Mysterio as a young, spry wrestler, but the reality is that he’s already 44 years old. Even more important is the fact that his body has many wrestling miles on it. It’s hard to imagine him ever being a full-time WWE wrestler for more than a few months at a time in the future.
Instead, WWE will use him selectively to help put the right guys over. Mysterio can still work a high-level match on his best day, but he isn’t ideally suited to the grind of a full WWE schedule.
There’s no question that Mysterio and officials inside the company realize that. He’ll still get plenty of wins on television to help maintain his credibility, but he’s not going to win all of his matches at major pay-per-views moving forward.
Obviously, WrestleMania is the biggest event there is. WWE officials are going to be very judicious about who they award wins to on the grandest stage of them all. Potential part-timers like Mysterio are going to find those victories harder to come by.
