Barcelona vs. Espanyol live stream: Watch La Liga online
By Warren Pegg
Barcelona face Espanyol at the Camp Nou on Saturday, March 30. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Barcelona have made plenty of headlines over the past week despite it being the international break. The discussion about whether or not Marc-Andre Ter Stegen should replace Manuel Neuer as Germany’s first-choice goalkeeper, which began in the run-up to the World Cup, resurfaced with a vengeance. Germany head coach Jogi Loew’s answer was no, for the time being at least. There’s also been plenty of speculation about Antoine Griezmann and Matthijs de Ligt arriving in the summer, with Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen apparently set to leave.
Although derbies in general have a reputation for being unpredictable affairs, that can’t really be said of the Derbi barceloni, as Espanyol haven’t beaten their city rivals in La Liga for a decade. Barcelona’s 0-4 victory in December’s reverse fixture at the RCDE Stadium was one of their few dazzling performances in what’s been a stuttering campaign.
Nonetheless, they’re 10 points clear at the top of the league with as many La Liga games remaining, and their progress into the semifinals of the Champions League looks likely after they were drawn against Manchester United. PSG fans felt much the same following the quarterfinal draw, of course, but the odds have to be very much against lightning striking twice.
Espanyol’s anticipated improvement under new coach Rubi, who was appointed in the summer, has failed to materialize. They’re currently in exactly the same position in the table – 13th – in which they finished the last campaign. And their points-per-game average in La Liga is down from 1.29 last term to 1.21 this season.

Espanyol have lost nine games in a row at the Camp Nou, and it’s hard to see that run ending here.
