Juventus face Empoli at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, March 30. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Juventus are running away with the Scudetto for the eighth straight season. With 10 games remaining, Juventus hold a 15 point lead over Napoli. On Saturday, Juventus host Empoli at the Allianz Stadium. Empoli are fighting to stay above the relegation zone and remain in Serie A next season.
In their last game before the international break, Juventus lost their first Serie A game of the season. Massimiliano Allegri decided to rest some of his key players in the loss against Genoa. Cristiano Ronaldo and Giorgio Chiellini were among the five regulars who did not play in the loss. Ronaldo could miss the game against Empoli after he suffered an injury while playing for Portugal. With the Serie A title all but locked up, Allegri has turned his focus to the Champions League. Juventus cannot win if Ronaldo aggravates his injury. Juventus will play it safe and keep their superstar on the sidelines until he is fully healthy. Paulo Dybala will be called up to pick up the slack while Ronaldo is out.
Empoli are one point above the relegation zone. The Blues defeated Frosinone 2-1, winning in new manager’s Aurelio Andreazzoli re-debut. Empoli fired Andreazzoli earlier this season but decided to bring him back on March 13. Francesco Caputo scored against Frosinone and leads the club with 13 goals this season. The win snapped a three-game winless drought for Empoli. The Blues have not won an away game this season and that is unlikely to change on Saturday against Juventus.
